Organizing and or attending of international conference, seminars, workshops, expert group meetings and lectures on issues that affect youths and their development.
Our organization, The African Youth Empowerment – Nigeria will be holding a national seminar to mark World Diabetes Day 2008 with the theme: Preventing Diabetes Among Youth: Bridging the Gap, on Tuesday 18 November 2008 at Hello Lagos Hall, Lasuth, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
The main objective of this seminar is to raise public awareness on diabetes, one of the most common chronic diseases of childhood and youth and how it could be prevented. This disease can strike children at any age, including pre-school children and even toddlers. Yet diabetes in children is often diagnosed late. We would like to bridge the gap.
