During the month of November 2008 the Hospital foyer will be lit up with blue lights.

On specific days, especially the 14th November, blood glucose monitoring, protein monitoring, various role players in the Diabetes field will be available in the foyer to speak to interested people.

- On WDD Blue Helium balloons will be released from the Helipad at 15h00 by the Hospital Administrator.
- All the staff will be asked to dress in Diabetes Blue
- All patients will receive a special round blue biscuit
- There will be radio and newspaper coverage during October as well as during November.
