World Diabetes Day Events
Observe World Diabetes Day and raise awareness of diabetes and its related complications.
United Nations Resolution 61/225 designates 14 November, the current World Diabetes Day, as a United Nations Day, to be observed every year beginning in 2007. It calls on all stakeholders to observe the day and help raise awareness. There are many ways in which you can get involved:
Participate in an existing event
Visit the events section to find an event taking place near you. Can't find what you looking for? Contact your local diabetes association and find out what's happening in your part of the world. You can find a list of IDF Member Associations on the IDF website.
Organize an event
We can help provide the tools and materials to run a local diabetes event:
- Read our calls to action to see how to incorporate these into your event.
- Visit the materials section to collect information and communication tools to help set up your event.
- Get the local media involved. Visit our media section to download a information materials to help you build your local media campaign. Be sure to include the key messages when you talk to the media.
