The world famous Sydney Opera House in Australia is the latest global landmark that will light up the skyline in blue on 14 November to mark the first United Nations World Diabetes Day. Completed in 1973, the Sydney Opera House is one of the most distinctive 20th century buildings, and one of the leading performing arts venues in the world. In 2007, the building was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
