The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is proud to accept a €7,000 donation from the Eli Lilly Company for the Life for a Child Program. The money was raised at a Fun Run for the 43rd Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes. The run was organized by Lilly and raised 3,500 euros which was generously matched by the company.

Eli Lilly has continued to be a generous supporter of IDF's Life for a Child Program. The program was created in 2000 to provide children in developing countries with life-saving medication. The program is run in partnership with Diabetes Australia-NSW and HOPE worldwide. It currently supports 700 children and adolescents with diabetes in 15 developing countries. Without this support many would die.
