Buenos Aires landmark to light up on World Diabetes Day
In Argentina, the Buenos Aires Obelisk, one of the main icons of the city of Buenos Aires, will have the Unite for Diabetes logo projected on it to mark the first United Nations World Diabetes Day. Thanks to the efforts of the Argentinian Association for the Protection of People with Diabetes (LAPDI, in spanish), the obelisk will be lit from 14 to 18 November. Some 67 metres high, the Buenos Aires Obelisk was built in 1936 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the first founding of the city.
