BBC World Service Radio has highlighted World diabetes Day on its popular Newshour Programme.

Newshour examines the diabetes, a disease that leads to one death every 10 seconds and threatens to overwhelm healthcare budgets worldwide. On the Programme, IDF President-Elect Jean Claude Mbanya, the World Health Oraganization’s Gojka Roglic and leading diabetologist Ambady Ramachandran provide a global perspective on diabetes.
