Diabetes America, the premiere network of diabetes health centers with seven locations in the Houston area,announced today that it will be taking extra steps to raise diabetes awareness together with cities all over the world on this year's "World Diabetes Day". "World Diabetes Day," November 14, was recently designated as an official United Nations Day to be observed every year starting in 2007. In conjunction with events taking place around the world, Diabetes America will host a ceremony at their Cypress Fairbanks Health Center to release 208 balloons, signifying the 20.8 million Americans with diabetes,a number that continues to rise.
