Under the patronage of HH sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, Sharjah's crown prince, approximately 1200 people gathered in Sharjah's national Park to celebrate world diabetes day. T-shirts and caps, specially designed for the event were distributed.
Activities included a walkathon, a special song about diabetes, assembling a human blue circle and releasing blue balloons into sky, quiz game and prizes, free blood glucose and BMI check, diabetes education and exhibition, fun corner and activities for kids.
