World Diabetes Day - November 14, 2007

Anyway, after a little surfing on the web, I came across something that was unknown to me before this morning:November is National Diabetes Month and November 14, 2007 is World Diabetes Day!
Diabetes is a disease that affects my family greatly - my grandmother died from it, my grandfather has it, both my parents have it, my aunt has it, a friend of mine has it, and I have a lot of risk factors for it. Not to mention, not one nursing shift goes by that I don't have at least 1 patient who has it.
