The Burj Al Arab in Dubai, United Arab Emirates will again light in blue this year on November 14 as part of the World Diabetes Day Monument Challenge.

With more than a 1/4 billion people with diabetes in the world, we should all care about it. November 14, 2008 is World Diabetes Day and a team of social entrepreneurs focused on diabetes is trying to persuade Google to display one of their famous doodles on their home page that day.

City of Seraing joins World Diabetes Day

The City of Seraing in Belgium has joined the World Diabetes Day 2008 Monument Challenge and will light their City Hall in blue on 14 November to mark World Diabetes Day. The city will also host various activities for the public on Saturday, 15 November in honour of World Diabetes Day.
